Malahide

Get ready to experience the magic of St Patricks Day.

 Malahide St Patricks Day Parade on Tuesday 17th of March, the Parade will begin at 2pm with the floats and participants setting sail from the Cricket Club Malahide over the railway bridge R106 onto Main Street Malahide towards The Mall and Coast Road, finishing at the Grand Hotel.  Road Closures will be in place surrounding all routes to facilitate the parade, expect delays and diversions in place.

 Swords

Swords St Patricks Day Parade on Tuesday 17th of March, Swords is set to host a spectacular parade at 11am.  The Route runs from Colasite Choilm, Dublin Road along Main Street, turning right at Bridge St Junction, along North Street and finishing at Swords Castle Town Park.  Road Closures will be in place surrounding all routes to facilitate the parade, expect delays and diversions in place.

Raheny Parade;

The Raheny 2026 parade is expected to start at 1pm and finish no later than 2:30pm on the 17th March, 2026.

Organisers have stated that they are expecting to have approximately 1400 participants from 60 separate Sports Clubs, Active Age groups and clubs from across the Raheny Community.

To help manage this, approximately 100 stewards from Raheny Shamrocks & Raheny GAA will marshal the event with Gardaí positioned at strategically important positions along the route and on peripheral approach roads. 

Parking restrictions/ Road Closures

There will be restrictions on the movement of traffic during the Parade. Details of this are set out in the map below. Details of these closures will be included in the briefing section for each member at these locations.

A total of 300 no parking cones have been requested from stores for this event.

The following locations will have no parking cones put in place by Community Gardai at 8pm on the 16th March 2026.  On the day of the event members will ensure that all vehicles along the parade route are removed, to assist with this, all residents along the route have been spoken to by the events committee members.

  • Both Sides of Main St Raheny
  • Watermill Rd (Both sides from Watermill Road to Main Street and Garda Station side from Main street to Howth Rd)
  • Both Sides of Watermill Drive
  • All Saints Park (Both sides of Road from All Saints Rd to junction with Watermill Drive)
  • All Saints Drive (both sides from Watermill Rd to Wades Ave)

Patrons have been asked to use public transport to get to the event and parking will be available in St Anne’s Park, All Saints Estate and around Raheny Village. The Taxi rank on Howth Road will be closed for the duration of the event, however, taxi’s will be accommodated in the carpark of Windsor Motors.

The organisers have ordered 150 barriers from Event Serve which will be utilized at the start area and at strategic locations along the route, for controlling movement of patrons and traffic.

Section 21 Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act 1994 is in force and will allow Gardai to regulate the movement of persons and vehicles around the parade route.
