Have your say! An Garda Síochána is seeking submissions for its 2018 policing plan

As part of the Policing Plan development process we are holding a public consultation. An Garda Síochána are looking for your views on what we should focus on to make Ireland a safer place in 2018.

The 2018 plan will focus on a wide variety of policing areas under our 5 strategy pillars:

1. National and International Security

2. Confronting Crime

3. Roads Policing

4. Community Engagement and Public Safety

5. Organisational Development and Capacity Improvement

The national policing plan is a high-level document, supporting national policing priorities. While we cannot place every submission into the plan, we will be examining what the public view as priorities and shaping our goals around those views.

An Garda Síochána is your police service. Your views are important to us. Submissions / observations should be submitted by email to policingplan@garda.ie

Submissions in writing can be sent to Policing Plan, Deputy Commissioner Governance and Strategy, Garda Headquarters, Phoenix Park, Dublin 8. Closing date for submissions is Friday 8th September 2017.
