Arrest following discovery of suspect device Tallaght 24th August 2017

Gardaí have arrested a man in his 50s in Tallaght following the discovery of a suspect device.

As part of a Gardaí investigation a search was carried out at house in Dominics Terrace, Tallaght this morning 24th August 2017 at approximately 8am.

During the search the device was discovered and has since been removed by the Army EOD team for analysis.

A man in his 50s was arrested at the scene and was brought to Tallaght Garda Station where he is detained under Section 30 of the Offence Against the State Act 1939.
