Man charged - Murder of Martin Mulligan discovered on the 28/9/16

Gardaí have charged a man, 22 years, in connection with the murder of Martin Mulligan.

He is due to appear before Drogheda District Court this evening, Thursday 10th November 2016. The court is currently sitting.
 
The man was arrested in the Dublin area this morning and detained at Dundalk Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. He remains in Garda custody.
 
The body of Martin Mulligan was discovered in Kilcurry, Dundalk, County Louth on the morning of Monday 28th September 2015. Martin’s car, a silver coloured Skoda Octavia, was also located at scene.

Gardai investigating the murder of Martin Mulligan on 28th September 2015 at Carnmore, Dundalk have arrested a 22 year old male this morning, 10th November 2016.

He is detained at Dundalk Garda Station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a man, aged in his mid 50's, in the Kilcurry area of Dundalk this morning, Monday 28th September 2015 at approximately 3am.

The man was pronounced dead and his body remains at the scene which has been preserved for technical examination. The Office's of the State Pathologist have been notified.
