Gardaí in Claremorris Co Mayo are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the N5 Knockbrack Co Mayo (Main Castlebar to Dublin Rd) at approximately 5pm this evening (Friday 19th February 2016)
A car and two articulated trucks were involved in the collision .The male driver of the car in his 30’s (only occupant) was pronounced dead at the scene. Both male drivers of the articulated trucks were seriously injured (non life threatening injuries) have been taken to Mayo General Hospital.
The scene is currently preserved for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
