On searching the vehicle heroin and cocaine with an estimated street value of up to €3 million (pending analysis) along with 4 firearms and associated ammunition were seized. The recovered firearms include an AK 47 assault rifle and ammunition, two .22 rifles and ammunition, and a loaded pump action shotgun along with silencers and telescope sights.

Two males, aged 41 and 34 have been arrested and are currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.

These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
