Arrest and Court appearance following robbery Dublin 7/11/15

A male in his late 40’s is scheduled to appear before The Criminal Courts of Justice tomorrow morning charged in connection with the robbery of a pharmacy yesterday.


At approximately 10.50am yesterday morning a lone male entered a pharmacy on Eden Quay armed with a hammer. He threatened staff and demanded money. He escaped with a sum of money and fled the scene. No one was injured.  An off duty garda observed the suspect and  following a foot chase at Custom House Quay the suspect was arrested with the assistance of gardai from Store Street. The money was also recovered.
The male in his late 40’s was detained at Store Street Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He is scheduled to appear before  Court No.1, The Criminal Courts of Justice,  Parkgate Street at 10.30am tomorrow morning charged in relation to the incident.
