Witness Appeal - Discovery of the body of a male in Waterford City on the 19/3/15

The post mortem has been completed and has shown that the male died from injuries sustained in a fall.

Gardai investigating the discovery of the body of a 54 year old male at the rear of a house on Francis Street on the 19th March wish to appeal to the public for their assistance in tracing his movements since the 16th March.

 
He is not being named at this point.

 
Gardai also wish to appeal to anyone who was in the area of Francis Street over the past number of days and may have seen anything of assistance to the investigation team to contact them at 051- 305300, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Gardai in Waterford are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of a male at the rear of a house on Francis Street, Waterford city on the 19th March 2015.

The male was discovered by Gardai at approximately 2.30pm, Gardai called an ambulance but the male was pronounced dead at the scene. His body remains at the scene and the office of the State Pathologist has been contacted by investigating Gardai. The area has been sealed off for a technical examination. 
 
A post mortem will be carried out tomorrow the 20th March on the body of the male at Waterford hospital.
