Two men charged - reported shots fired and seizure of firearm/ammunition in Meath on the 21-22/3/15

Gardaí have this evening, Sunday 22nd March 2015, charged two men, 19 and 31 years, in connection with an investigation into reports of shots being fired at a location at Readstown, Summerhill, Co Meath on Friday 20th March 2015

And the seizure of a firearm and ammunition following a Garda operation on Saturday 22nd March 2015.

The 31 year old man is due to appear before District Court 1, Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin tomorrow morning, Monday 23rd March 2015 at 10.30am. He remains in Garda custody.

The 19 year old man has been released from Garda custody and is due to appear before Trim District Court at a later date.

The two men were arrested yesterday afternoon, Saturday 21st March 2015, and were both detained at Trim Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.
