Serious injury road traffic collision, Co. Louth 28th March 2015

Gardaí in Drogheda are appealing for witnesses following a traffic collision on the 28th March 2015.

At approximately 8.25pm a 63-year-old female pedestrian was seriously injured when she was struck by a car on the R166 at Yellowgap, Termonfeckin. She was taken by Ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital. The occupants of the car were uninjured.
 
The road is currently closed to traffic and the scene is preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Traffic diversions are in place.
