Gardaí have seized a quantity of drugs and arrested three people in an operation in Dublin today 24th July.
Gardaí from Pearse District Drug Unit investigating the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the South inner City carried out a number of searches in Walkinstown, Dublin 12. During the course of the first search of a house, Gardaí seized suspected Cocaine with a street value of approximately €70,000. A 25 year old man and an 18 year old woman were arrested at the scene. They were taken to Pearse Street Garda Station where they were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
During the course of a second search at a house in Walkinstown, Dublin 12 Gardaí recovered cocaine with an approximate street value of €430,000 and Ecstasy with a street value of €5000. Zopiclone tablets with a street value of €220,000 were also recovered. A 47 year old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Irishtown Garda Station where he was detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
