Arrest - Murder of Kevin Molloy in Cabra, Dublin on the 1/2/15

Gardai investigating the murder of Kevin Molloy whose body was discovered at Glendhu Road on the 1/02/15 have arrested a male in his early 20’s this morning.

He is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Finglas Garda Station.

Gardaí in Cabra are investigating the murder of a man, early 40's, following the discovery of his body yesterday afternoon, Sunday 1st February 2015 in a house on Glendhu Road, Cabra, Dublin 7.

The body has not yet been formally identified. DNA tests are being carried out and the results of same are expected tomorrow, 3rd February 2015 at which stage a further appeal will be made. Time of death not yet established.

The scene at the house remains preserved for technical examination. A post mortem was carried out earlier today, 2nd February 2015 at Dublin City Morgue by the State Pathologist, Professor Marie Cassidy, the results of which are not being disclosed for operational purposes. Further tests are ongoing in connection with the post mortem. An incident room has been established at Cabra Garda Station.

Gardaí in Cabra are investigating the murder of Kevin Molloy, 41 years, following the discovery of his body on Sunday 1st February 2015 in a house on Glendhu Road, Cabra, Dublin 7.

A post mortem was carried out on 2nd February 2015 at Dublin City Morgue by the State Pathologist, Professor Marie Cassidy and an incident room has been established at Cabra Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Glendhu Road area of Cabra between 20th January and 1st February or anyone who may have saw Kevin Molloy in the area during that time, to contact them.
