Serious road traffic collision north of Drogheda, Louth on the 27/10/13

Gardai from Drogheda are currently at scene at a serious road traffic collision that has occured 5 miles north of Drogheda on the old N1 this evening at approximately 8.30p.m. Sunday 27th October, 2013.

A 19 years old male pedestrian has been seriously injured when he was struck by a car.

The Monasterboice exit from the M1 travelling south is closed at present, local diversions are in place.
