Armed robberies in Co. Dublin on the 19/7/13

Gardai in Balbriggan are appealing for information following two armed robberies in the north Dublin area this morning.

At approximately 11.25 a.m. two males armed and with a shot shotgun entered a bookmakers shop on Main St. Lusk. They threatened a female staff member before making their escape with a small amount of cash in a dark coloured Mercedes car. It is though this car travelled out of Lusk village in the direction of the Rush roundabout. There were no shots fired and no reported injuries during the incident.

At approximately 11.40 a.m. two armed and masked males entered a convenience store in Oldtown Co Dublin. They threatened a female staff member and left the scene with a small amount of cash and cigarettes. The raiders again fled the scene in a dark coloured Mercedes car. This car travelled in the direction of Fieldstown Bridge towards Dublin. There was no shots fired and no injures were sustained.

Technical examinations at both scenes have been carried out and enquiries are ongoing.

Investigating Gardai area appealing for information and in particular any sightings of a dark coloured Mercedes saloon car with a partial registration number ‘11 D’ in the north Co. Dublin area between 11am and 12pm this morning (19/7/2013).
