Fatal Traffic collision in Castlebar, Co. Mayo on the 23rd December 2013 on the 23rd December 2013

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, on the 23rd December 2013.

At approximately 1.30 pm an 81-year-old female pedestrian was seriously injured when she was struck by a car on Pontoon Road (R310) Castlebar. She was taken by Ambulance to Mayo General Hospital.


Forensic collision investigators are at the scene and the road has is closed to traffic. Diversions are in place.
