Murder of Gerard Burnett at Mulhuddart, Dublin on the 22/8/12 - Further arrests

A 20 year old and a 17 year old male have been arrested this afternoon in the Dublin area in connection with the murder of Gerard Burnett on the 22/08/12 at Castlecurragh Vale, Mulhuddart.

They are currently detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardai investigating the Fatal Stabbing that occurred at Castlecurragh Vale, Mulhuddart on the 22/08/12 have charged a 20 year old male.

He will appear before Court no 4 Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street, Dublin 7 at 10.30am this morning, the 30th August 2012.  The second male (18yrs) is still being detained at Blanchardstown Garda station.

Gardai investigating the fatal stabbing that occurred at Castlecurragh Vale, Mulhuddart on the 22/08/12 have made two arrests.

Two males were arrested, 18 and 20 years of age, last night and are currently detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardai in Blanchardstown are investigating the circumstances of a suspicious death in Blanchardstown on the 22nd August 2012.

A male 28yrs was seriously injured outside a house at Castlecurragh Vale, Mulhuddart just before midnight on the 21st of August, he was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before 1am on the 22nd.
 
The scene has been preserved for a Technical examination. The office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
 
It appears the deceased may have received stab injuries.
 
Gardai are appealaing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them in Blanchardstown on 01 666 7000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
 
No further information at this stage
