Gardaí are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on the 3rd October 2012 at Dunmahon, Dundalk, Co.Louth.
A 25 year old woman was fatally injured when her car left the road and crashed in a field sometime before 11pm. The woman, who was alone in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem examination will be carried out today.
The roadway at the scene of the crash is closed to facilitate an examination of the area by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the area between 9pm and 11pm on the 3rd October to contact them at Dundalk Garda Station on 042 9388400.
