Drug seizure at Lobinstown, Navan Meath on the 12/10/12 - Court

Two males are due to appear before a special sitting of Trim District Court this afternoon in relation to the discovered 480 cannabis plants with an approximate street value of €384,000.

As part on an on going operation, Gardai from the Meath Divisional Drug unit assisted by the Navan Crime unit searched a house at Lobinstown, Navan on the 12th Oct 2012 and discovered 480 cannabis plants with an approximate street value of €384,000(subject to analysis). The premises had been converted into a sophisticated growing and cultivating operation.

The Gardai searched the premises shortly after 2pm on the 12th Oct 2012. Two males(30 and 36yrs) were arrested and conveyed to Kells Garda station where they are being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

The area is currently being technically examined.
