Cash-in-transit robbery at Tallaght, Dublin on the 10/10/12 - Arrests

Gardai at Tallaght investigating a cash-in-transit van robbery which occured outside Jobstown Post Office at approximatley 12pm this afternoon, the 10th October 2012, have arrested four people.

One man, armed with what is believed to have been a firearm, threatened a staff member (male) and took an amount of cash.  No shots were fired and the staff member was not physically injured.


In a follow-up operation, Gardai recovered a vehicle and searched a house at Cloonmore Green in Tallaght. Gardai recovered a firearm and large quantity of cash in the house.

 
Four people have been arrested in relation to the incident, three men and a woman (all in their mid to late 20s). They are currently being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act 1939 at Tallaght and Rathfarnham Garda Station.
