Arrest -Robbery in Rathfarnham, Dublin on the 11/10/12

Gardaí in Rathfarnham have arrested a man in his mid 20's this morning, the 31st October 2012, in relation a robbery which occured at a bank (Bank of Ireland) in Rathfarnham Shopping Centre on the 11th October 2012.

He is currently detained at Rathfarnham Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939
 

The incident occurred at 2.10pm on 11th October 2012, a lone raider armed with a shotgun, entered the bank, threatened staff and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.  He left across Butterfield Avenue in the direction of Marion Road.
 

The suspect was described as in his mid 30's, 6 foot in height and of slim build.  He was wearing a grey hoodie and navy sleevless jacket over it.
