Fatal road traffic collision at Dunshaughlin, Co Meath on the 23/3/12

Gardai in Dunshaughlin are investigating the circumstances of a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the 23rd March 2012 in Dunshaughlin.

The collision occurred between two cars at approx. 12.20pm on the Dublin side of Dunshaughlin on the old Dublin to Dunshaughlin rd.
 
An elderly man(83yrs) was seriously injured in the collision, he was taken to Blanchardstown hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A male and female both in their early 30's who were in the second car were also taken to Blanchardstown hospital but later released.

The road was closed to facilitate a Forensic collision examination and has been reopened.
