Gardaí in Kilkenny are appealing for witnesses to an incident which occurred in Kilkenny City at approximately 11.30am yesterday morning, the 10th July 2012.
An 86 year old woman was assaulted and robbed by a man, as she walked on College View, Walkin Street. She was injured during the incident, and is currently in St. Luke’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A male in his 30's was arrested and is currently detained at Kilkenny Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
