As part of the murder investigation Gardai are examining a car which was found burned out on Inagh Road, Ballyfermot shortly after the shooting incident this morning. The car, a dark blue Opel Astra 99 CE 3047 was stolen on the 23rd of November 2011.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this car’s movements in the last 5 days to contact them.
In addition Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious on Cherry Orchard Avenue this morning or over the last number of days and also on Inagh Road this morning.
Gardai would particularly like to appeal to people passing through this area this morning, such as Taxi Drivers, Bus Drivers or people going to work who may be able to assist or to anyone who knows anything about what happened to contact Ballyfermot Garda station on 6667200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station
