Gardaí investigating the death of a woman in Mayo on the morning of the 9th March 2011, arrested a man (19yrs).
The man was arrested at 8am at Corha, Islandeady, Castlebar, Co. Mayo and detained at Caslebar Garda Station under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The 19yr old male was charged this evening, the 10th March 2011 in connection with the death and will appear before Swinford District Court tomorrow morning, the 11th March 2011 at 10.30am.

Gardaí investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a woman’s body in Co. Mayo this morning (9/3/11) have arrested a man in his early 20’s.
The man was arrested at 8am at Corha, Islandeady, Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
He is currently detained at Caslebar Garda Station under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Investigations are continuing.

Gardaí at Castlebar, Mayo are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a 46 year old woman’s body at a house at Derrycrieve, Islandeady, Castlebar, Mayo at approximately 1.40am this morning (9/3/11).
The scene has been preserved pending a Garda Technical examination and the state pathologist’s office has been notified. The body remains at the scene.
No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
