Viable device in Limerick on the 15/5/11 - Court appearance

A 19 year old man will appear before Limerick District Court this morning, Friday 22nd July 2011, after being charged in relation to an incident involving a viable device (pipe bomb) that occurred on the 15th May this year.

The device was thrown into a house on Greenmount Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston but failed to ignite.

The man was arrested 2 days ago, Wednesday, the 20th July 2011, and was detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station under Section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act.

He is the second man to be charged for this offence.
