Incident Athenry

Gardai are investigating an incident at a house in Fernhill, Athenry, Co.Galway, between 9pm and 9.30pm last night the 26th of April 2011.

Gardai responding to a call about a disturbance discovered extensive damage to the property.  Some time later a 31 year old Lithuanian man attended the  Galway Clinic with injuries to his leg, which are believed be bullet wounds.  He was later transferred to University College Hospital Galway where his condition is described as not life threatening. 

Gardai would like to establish the identity and present whereabouts of the occupants of the house who are described as Lithuanian Nationals.  Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact the incident room at Galway Garda Station at 091-538000.
