Shooting in Ronanstown, Dublin on the 24/10/10 - Man pronounced dead

A man seriously injured following a shooting incident at Foxdene Park, Dublin 22, on the 24th October 2010 has died. Robert Ryle, aged 30 from Ballyfermot, Dublin was pronounced dead this morning (27/10/2010) at Tallaght General Hospital.

Investigating Gardai are renewing their appeal for information and in particular wish to speak with anyone who was in the  Balgaddy and Foxdene areas between 7pm and 9pm on the evening of Sunday, the 24th October 2010.

Gardaí at Ronanstown are investigating a shooting incident that occurred shortly before 8.40pm this evening, Sunday 24th October 2010.

A 30 year old male passenger got out of a car onto the driveway of a house on Foxdene Park, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, when he was approached by a lone gunman and hit with a number of shorts from a handgun.

He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where his condition is described as being serious.

The scene is being preserved at present and investigations are ongoing.

No arrests have been made.
