Six men will appear at Sligo District Court on the 12th of March 2009 at 10.30 a.m., charged with drugs and immigration offences. Another man was released without charge last evening. A female remains in custody. The eight were arrested on the 10th of March following a drug seizure in Co.Leitrim

Gardaí in Co. Letirim have arrested 8 people following the planned search of a house in Aughaginny, Drumshambo, Co. Leitrim at approximately 9pm last night - 10th March 2009.
7 males and 1 female were arrested following the seizure of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of approximately €200,000 pending analysis.
Four of the people, including the female are being detained in Sligo. Two are being held in Carrick on Shannon and two in Manorhamilton.
All 8 are detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
