Gardaí in the Laois/Offaly Division involved in the investigation into the disappearance of Fiona Pender, this morning returned to a site at Monicknew Wood (between Mountrath & Clonaslee).
This morning’s operation involves further soil testing, utilising soil analysts from An Garda Siochana and the Irish Defence Forces, and further excavation of the site, if required.
Officers from the Laois/Offaly Division, along with the Garda Technical Bureau and Garda Dog Unit are involved in this operation. You will be advised of developments.
