Gardai in Swinford at investigating a light plane single engine aircraft crash that occurred today 11th May, 2008 at 4.45 p.m. at Kilmovee, Co. Mayo.
The aircraft had two men on board and one male aged 51 years was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man has been removed to Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar with serious injuries.
The Air Accident Investigation Unit, Department of Transport are en route. There are no more details at this time.
