Attempted robbery at Fairview, Dublin on the 11/5/08 and arrests.

On the 11th May, three men entered a DVD rental/electronic store as staff were closing for the night.

 

Three men are currently being detained in Whitehall, Fairview and Raheny Garda stations after the attempted robbery of a business premises in Fairview, Dublin 3. 

At approximately 10pm last night, the 11th May, three men entered a DVD rental/electronic store as staff were closing for the night.

The raiders were armed with what is believed to be a handgun. They then tied up the staff of the shop, and attempted to gain access to a safe.

Gardaí responded to a call concerning this incident and made their way to the scene.

The Garda members discovered the raiders on the premises and arrested all three. 

The three males, all in their 20s are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

There were no shots fired, and no injuries arising out of the incident.
