Following ongoing enquiries being carried out by Balbriggan Gardai into illegal counterfeiting of DVD's for sale at markets nationwide.
Following ongoing enquiries being carried out by Balbriggan Gardai into illegal counterfeiting of DVD's for sale at markets nationwide, a house on the Naul Road in Balbriggan was searched at approximately 9.00pm on 3rd April 2008.
In the course of the search Gardai took possession of 10 eight-deck burning devices, 20 printers, 10 t.v's, 10 photocopying machines, approximately 30,000 DVD's, audio equipment and related material.
Two vehicles were seized also.
The scene was technically examined.
The seized items have been provisionally valued in excess of €400,000.
An opportunity for members of the media to view part of the seizure has been scheduled for 12.00 midday on Saturday 5th April 2008 at Balbriggan Garda Station.
