Dr. Oghuvbu is a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He is a registered Specialist in Occupational Medicine in the Specialist Division of the Register of the Medical Council. He is a former member of the Board of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and was Chair of the Education Committee of the Board. He was a member of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine’s Expert Advisory Group for Preferred Model of Care for Occupational Medicine in Ireland as well as the Faculty’s Governance Review Group. Outside of the Faculty, he was a member of the Emergency Management of Injuries and Post-exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) sub-committee of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) and was a member of the Scientific Steering Committee for the National Post-Exposure Prophylaxis Conferences.

Career Highlights:

1991 -  Medical Internship in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies. Pre-specialist training positions in Internal Medicine, Paediatrics and Respiratory Medicine in Trinidad and Tobago and in Ireland.

2002 -  Specialist training in Occupational Medicine under the Irish Committee on Higher Medical Training with experience in the public and private sectors and across various areas of work and industry sectors in Ireland.

2006 - Specialist Occupational Physician, Corporate Health Ireland, Ireland.

2008 - Independent Specialist Occupational Physician.

2009 -  Specialist Occupational Physician, HSE West, Ireland.

2010 -  Specialist Occupational Physician, An Garda Siochana.
