24/09/2026 Update (2): Operation Targeting Organised Crime Group - Dundalk, Co. Louth, Friday, 21st August 2026

A man has been arrested as part the ongoing investigation into the seizure of several improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at a residential property in Dundalk, Co. Louth on 21st August 2026.

The man, who is aged in his 30s, was arrested in the course of an operation in Dundalk on Wednesday, 23rd September 2026.

He is currently being held under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, at a station in the Garda North Western Region.

Investigations are ongoing.
