Three males have been arrested and charged following operations conducted on Saturday, 19th September 2026 by Gardaí from the Tallaght Community Engagement and the Serious Crime Unit as part of ongoing investigations into burglary, car theft and associated crimes in the Tallaght area.
While on active patrol in the Cloonmore Park area, Gardaí observed a man exiting a vehicle and subsequently attempting to flee on foot. The male, aged in his 40s, was apprehended and arrested in connection with the investigations. He was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station within the Dublin Metropolitan Region. The vehicle recovered had been reported stolen following a recent burglary in the area.
In the course of the operation Gardaí arrested two additional males, aged in their 20s and 40s. Both were also detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
All three men have been charged with a number of offences and are scheduled to appear before Tallaght District Court tomorrow, Monday, 21st September 2026, at 10:30am.
Investigations remain ongoing.
