Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on Lee Road, Cork, Co. Cork.
The single vehicle collision involving a van occurred during the time period of 10:00pm on Monday 14th September and 2:10am on Tuesday 15th September 2026.
A male driver (aged in his 50s) was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has since been removed to the local mortuary where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The coroner has been notified.
The road is closed pending examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.
Road users who were travelling on Lee Road, Cork, Co. Cork between 10:00pm on Monday 14th September and 2:10am on Tuesday 15th September 2026 and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
