Gardaí are continuing to investigate an incident of violent disorder that occurred in Leopardstown, Dublin 18, on Saturday 29th August 2026. The male (aged in his 20s) who was seriously injured during the course of this incident, was pronounced deceased on Tuesday 1st September 2026.
Investigating Gardaí have arrested a man aged in his late teens in connection with this investigation on Saturday 12th September 2026. He has been charged and is scheduled to appear before the District Court (at the Criminal Courts of Justice, CCJ Court No. 12) at 10.30am on Monday 14th September 2026.
Another male (aged in his 40’s) was arrested in connection with the investigation this morning, Sunday 13th September 2026.
He is currently detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at a Garda Station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
Investigations are ongoing.
