09/09/2026 Incident in Ballybrack, Dublin, Wednesday 9th September 2026

Shortly before 3pm today, 9th September 2026, Gardaí were requested to attend a residential property in Ballybrack, County Dublin, due to concerns for the safety of an adult male.

An Garda Síochána activated its Operational Command protocol. An On-Scene Commander was appointed and Garda negotiators from the National Negotiators Unit attended, supported by local units including the Armed Support Unit and Public Order Unit. Additional assistance was provided by the National Ambulance Service and local Fire Services.

The incident was safely resolved shortly after 4:30pm.

Gardaí would like to thank the media for their cooperation during the media blackout, which has now been lifted.
