Gardaí are continuing to investigate an incident of violent disorder that occurred in Leopardstown, Dublin 18, on Saturday 29th August 2026. The male (aged in his 20s) who was seriously injured during the course of this incident, was pronounced deceased on Tuesday 1st September 2026.
Investigating Gardaí made two further arrests in connection with this investigation on Tuesday 8th of September 2026. Two males aged in their 20s and 40s were arrested in the Dublin area.
Both have since been released without charge. Files will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
This brings to six (6) the number of individuals arrested to date.
Investigations are ongoing.
