Gardaí are continuing to investigate an incident of violent disorder that occurred in Leopardstown, Dublin 18, on Saturday 29th August 2026. The male (aged in his 20s) who was seriously injured during the course of this incident, was pronounced deceased on Tuesday 1st September 2026.
Gardaí arrested a fourth male (aged in his 30s) in connection with this investigation on Sunday 6th September 2026.
He was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 in a Garda Station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
He has since been release without charge. A file will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Investigations are ongoing.
