Gardaí continue to investigate an alleged assault in Whitegate, County Cork, on Friday, 4th September 2026.

A male (aged in his 30’s) has been arrested in connection with the investigation and is detained pursuant to Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939, at a Garda Station in the Co. Cork area.

Investigations are ongoing.
