Gardaí in Cork have seized a total of €7,200 suspected illegal cannabis and cocaine, and a 3D printed firearm, during the course of a search at a residential location in the Ballymacoda area of East Cork, on Friday 4th September 2026.
The operation was conducted by members of the Cork County Divisional Drugs Unit and Serious Crime Unit, under Operation Tara.
Approximately €4,800 of cannabis and €2,400 of cocaine were seized. A 3D printed firearm was also recovered.
The drugs and firearm seized are now subject to analysis.
A male (aged in his 30’s) was arrested in connection with the investigation, and detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in the Co. Cork Area.
He has since been charged, and is scheduled to appear at Dungarvan District Court on Monday 7th September 2026 at approximately 10.30am.
