Yesterday 31st August 2026, as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Divisional Drugs Unit DMR South Central and Revenue Customs Service, Officers from Revenue Customs Services seized 1 kilogram of suspected Cocaine, with an approximate value of €100,000 in the Dublin 8 area.
In follow up searches members of An Garda Síochána seized €16,000 in cash and a further quantity of various controlled drugs valued at €14,500.
Two males (both aged in their 30s) were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda Station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
