Gardaí continue to investigate an alleged incident of serious assault, which occurred near Main Street, Belmayne, Dublin 13 on Monday 28th September 2026.
The female (aged in her 30s) who was conveyed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries has since passed away Wednesday 30th October 2026.
A post-mortem examination is in progress, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.
A Family Liaison Officer (FLO) continues to provide support to the family of the deceased.
The male (aged in his 20’s) arrested on Tuesday 29th September 2026, in connection with the investigation, has since been released without charge on Wednesday 30th October pending a file to the DPP.
Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
Anyone in the vicinity of Main Street, Belmayne, Dublin 13 on Monday 28th September 2026, between 3:00pm and 3:45pm, who may have video footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
