Witness Appeal – Serious Injury Road Traffic Collision, Clonmel Road (R692), Cashel, Co. Tipperary – 15th March 2026

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision in Cashel, Co. Tipperary on Sunday 15th March 2026.

Shortly after 11:00pm Gardaí and emergency services responded to a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the Clonmel Road (R692), Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

The pedestrian, an adult male (aged in his 20s) was conveyed to Cork University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported at the time.

A technical examination of the scene was carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since fully reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

They are particularly interested in speaking with three drivers who passed by the pedestrian prior to the collision.

Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage who were travelling on the Clonmel Road (R692) in Cashel between 10:30pm and 11:00pm on Sunday 15th March are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
