Witness Appeal - Serious Assault, Cabinteely, Dublin 18 on 11th March 2026

Gardaí are continuing to investigate a serious assault which occurred in McIntosh Park, Cabinteely, Dublin 18 on Wednesday, 11th March 2026 at approximately 3pm.

A man, aged in his 50s, who was seriously assaulted during the incident was brought to St. Vincent's Hospital and remains in a serious condition.

Yesterday, Wednesday, 11th March 2026, Gardaí arrested a man (30s) in connection with this investigation and he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in Dublin.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have taken images or recorded footage (including dash-cam) of the incident to not share it on social media platforms or messaging apps, but instead to provide it to investigating Gardaí.

Anyone who was in the area of McIntosh Park, Cabinteely, at the time and who may have any information about the incident, is asked to contact Gardaí.
