Witness Appeal: Fatal Road Traffic Collision, Tyrrelstown, Dublin 15, 7th March 2025

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred at Powerstown Road, Tyrrelstown on Saturday 7th March 2026.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to the incident, which occurred shortly before 6:00pm.

A male passenger, aged in his 30’s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has been removed to the mortuary at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The Coroner has been notified

A second passenger (female, 30’s), was brought to Connolly Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver (male, 40’s) was brought to Connolly hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.

The road was temporarily closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the Powerstown Road between 5:30pm and 6:30pm on Saturday 7th March 2026 are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
