Update: Witness Appeal – Serious Injury Collision, Shannon, Co. Clare - 21st March 2026

Gardaí in Shannon are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the single-vehicle collision that occurred in Shannon, Co. Clare, shortly after 11:30pm on Saturday, 21st March 2026.

The collision involved an electric scrambler on Bóthar Na Luachra, Shannon. A male in his early 20s was taken from the scene by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries.  He was pronounced deceased yesterday, Tuesday 24th March 2026.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
