Update 8: Investigation into the Murder of William Delaney, Portlaoise, 2019.

Gardaí in Portlaoise investigating the murder of William Delaney, who went missing on Wednesday 30th January, 2019, have today, Monday 30th March 2026, arrested a further three people (two women and a man) in connection with this investigation.

  The women (aged in their 20’s and 30’s) and the man (aged in his 30’s) are currently detained pursuant to Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939, at Garda stations in the Midland and South Western regions.

Gardaí continue to appeal to the community and would like to thank them for their assistance so far, however Gardaí believe that people in the community have information and have not yet come forward.
