Operation Tara: Seizure of €2.75 million worth of Cocaine and Cannabis, Dublin, 20th March 2026

As part of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime under Operation Tara, the Dublin Crime Response Team searched two properties in the Coolock and Finglas areas of Dublin on 20th March 2026.

During the course of the operation, Gardaí seized 38kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €2,660,000 at a business premises in Coolock.

In a follow-up search of a residential property in Finglas, 1kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of €70,000 and 1kg of cannabis with a value of €20,000 was seized.

Two males (aged in their 20s and 30s) were arrested and are currently detained at station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.

The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.

Investigations are ongoing.
